We’re donating profits to Australian charity organisations doing great work – and we need your help to choose the recipient.
Last year, we donated 10% of our profits to Gippsland Farmers Relief Fund.
GFRF supports local farming families by providing food support and aid to those suffering on-going financial stress. Farmers are some of the hardest workers in our community and the last to ask for help if they need it. They often put family, friends, sporting clubs and other members of their community first.
Early in 2020 the charity's food stocks were depleted after assisting hundreds of fire-affected farmers in East Gippsland, and replenishment was hampered due to panic buying by the public in the early stages of the pandemic and the resulting supply restrictions put in place by Foodbank, wholesalers and supermarkets. GFRF’s vision of providing regular farm household assistance and linking farmers to existing welfare and support services was a cause that really resonated with us, which meant we chose them as the recipient of our 2020 donation campaign. We're really proud to have contributed in a small way, and we're really grateful to our supporters for helping us to donate even more.
This year we are once again searching for a community-focused organisation that has similar values to ours and a grass roots impact, so that we can donate 10% of sales to them – and we didn’t have to look too far from home to find some organisations doing really valuable work, plus GFRF once again.
Since we’ve had so much valuable community input into the Natural Distilling Co, we wanted to ask for your help in choosing who we should donate to – we might even make it an annual thing!
Leave your vote below and keep an eye out for our next newsletter, where we’ll announce the results. Here’s some info and links to our nominees pages if you’d like to learn more or make a private donation of your own:
Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund (GERF)
Since 1978, the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund (GERF) has funded emergency resources like food and shelter for Gippslanders impacted by natural disaster. Our region’s landscape is beautiful, but volatile — which is why the dedicated volunteers at GERF manage a (really) rainy day fund, ready for helping neighbours in need.
Every day Lifeline Gippsland makes a difference to people’s lives through a broad range of programs and services that deliver information and support to the most vulnerable members of our community. At the heart of our services is the Lifeline 24-hour crisis support line which provides people with support for a range of issues including depression and other mental illnesses, substance abuse, domestic violence and more.
Bass Coast Community Foundation
Since 2002 the Bass Coast Community Foundation has partnered with community, business, government and other philanthropic groups to encourage a giving culture and to support impactful local initiatives. BCCF supports a wide variety of projects, from community gardens and mentorship programs to performance arts and education.
Voting is now closed! Thank you to everyone who nominated a charity for us to support, and who voted for one of the four organisations below.
